Encaustic Paintings

An investigation of encaustic technique on panel surfaces, these works examine repetition and variation through carved and stamped lines. Layered wax, texture, and translucency blur the boundary between surface and depth. Themes of strata, earth patterns, geology, and timelessness emerge—each piece a quiet echo of erosion, memory, and the slow accumulation of form.

These works are earlier explorations of strata, earth patterns, and geological memory — the inquiry that led directly to the Strataforms.
